The dance company VerTeDance was founded in 2004 by the trio Veronika Knytlová and Tereza Ondrová, dancers and choreographers, and Pavel Kotlík, a light designer. Within 14 years of their existence, VerTeDance have created more than twenty projects, having mated with uncountable outstanding personalities of the czech and international dance scene. The company has to its credit a number of important rewards, among them The Dancer of the Year (2010 and 2017), The Best Light Design Award (2012, 2014 and 2017) and The Theatre Journal Award (2012 and 2014).
VerTeDance are the only Czech company to have gained the most prestigious Czech award in the field, The Dance Piece of The Year, as many as three times: for Silent Talk in 2005, for What is the Weight of Your Desire in 2012 and for CORRECTION in 2014.
In 2015 VerTeDance was awarded for show Correction by BE Audience Award 2015 and Mess Festival Award 2015 in BE festival in Birmingham and by prestigious Herald Angel Award 2015 in Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Jako osobitou interpretku ji ke spolupráci zvaly a zvou nejvýznamnější osobnosti a soubory v ČR – Jan Kodet, Lenka Ottová, DOT 504, Mirka Eliášová, Peter Mika, Věra Ondrašíková aj. Stala se jednou ze zakladatelek souboru VerTeDance, s nímž rovněž spolupracují další osobnosti. Na České taneční platformě získali VerTe Dance ocenění Taneční inscenace roku již dvakrát (2005: Tichomluva, 2012: Kolik váží vaše touha?) a Tereza byla v neposlední řadě oceněna i jako Tanečnice roku 2010 za svůj výkon v představení s Annou Polívkovou.
Dancer, choreographer, pedagogue
Pursuing dance since her childhood, she studied in TCP and participated in various seminars and workshops in the Czech Republic and abroad. She graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogics of Charles University and studied for two years at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. As a performer, she collaborated with prominent Czech and foreign choreographers and directors such as Jan Kodet, Petr Tyc, Peter Mika, Olga Cobos, and many others. In 2002 she collaborated with Tereza Ondrová on their choreographic piece entitled Through the bottle neck, and on the formation of the successful Czech Republic ensemble VerTeDance two years later. VerTeDance regularly invites leading figures in the art world to collaborate on their projects and has won numerous awards.
She graduated from the prestigious Prague school of film and TV studies, FAMU, in 2011 and took part in the preparatory courses at the dance studio Dance Perfect. She then became a member of the Junior Domino Dance Company for three years. Since 2007 she has collaborated with choreographer Ji Eun Lee. She is a co-founder of the ensemble ME-SA, which regularly presents its projects at the festivals Dance Prague and Czech Dance Platform etc. Since January 2012 she has cooperated with the international theater studio Farm in the Cave. Currently she manages the ME-SA company, collaborates with the festival Dance Prague and the Festival of Dance Films, works as a freelance dancer and producer, works for ALT@RT and VerTeDance, and initiates and promotes film projects and contemporary dance.
After seeing the performance What is the weight of your desire in 2011, she longed to produce the VerTeDance projects. Her wish came true in 2014, when she was given the opportunity to help out with the celebration of VerTe´s 10th anniversary piece entitled Time Really Flies. Since 2015 she has managed the production of cultural events at Studio ALTA in Holešovice, and in cooperation with Karolína Hejnová she works on productions of VerTeDance activities and other independent projects.
